Here's wishing a Happy Valentine Day (albeit belated) to all.
Valentine Day can be
....Beautiful for those in love,
....Depressing for those who have lost in love,
....Just-another-day for those who are single,
....Stressful for those who still need to ask her out
....And very lucrative for florists and restaurant owners.
However, personally I can't understand why its such a big deal. C'mon get over it, don't wait for that one day to profess your love or go on that fancy date... do it anyways !

Valentines Day has gained so much significance in our lives in the past decade or so. I never heard my parents celebrating such a day. But strangely enough they do expect us to celebrate it with the loves of our lives. I agree with Preksha's point of view that you can propose to the love of your life or go out for a date anyways and that you do not need a special day for it. But, in this fast paced life, where each day just seems to slip away from in between your hands like sand ....every moment you spend together is important. It days like birthdays, anniversaries, festivals which are all spaced out around the year, to make you feel special or gives you an opportunity to make others feel special. Similarly, even though you have each day and each morning to say what you wish to say to your loved one, it is such days, that make the words flow out easily. I definitely look forward to such special days, since it makes me await it, long for it, plan for it, in short it helps break down the monotony in my life. This day and such other days are indeed special and must be celebrated. So I would say "I actually love it."
Its good that there is a day...valentines day ...else we will have to do this every day ;)
